Volley Ball Basic Rules
There are several rules in Volley Ball. Here are some basic rules for playing Volley ball
1. Service
There are two teams in a volley ball game and each team has six players. For determining first serve a coin is tossed between two team .The person in back right corner serves the ball, underhand or overhand from behind the end line, and make a shot for the opponent team. The wining tem will rotate after first half and receive the serve first.
2. Play
Volleyball rule is that a individual player cannot hit a ball twice in a row, without blocks, and each time can hit the ball three times before returning to the opponent… A serve should not be attacked or blocked.
3. Scoring
According to Volleyball each set is played for 25 minutes. And winning team must have a lead of two points. If the set reaches a tie of 24-24 then the play will be continue until any one team doesn’t get two point lead. A team gets a point when the volley ball will touch the land s of the opponent team, when the opposition team will hit the volleyball out of boundary line, when the opposition will hit the ball to net, or if the opponent team will receive a penalty. For wining a match a team must have to win a two set among three.
4. Violations
according to Volleyball rules players cannot hit the ball illegally such as throwing, and holding ball. No player can touch or reach under net. A player can only reach over the net if he is performing a follow-through, blocking or returning the ball.
5. Measurements
the volleyball must have a circumference of 65-67 centimeters, weight must be 260 to 280 grams and must have an inside pressure 0.30-0325 kg/cm. And According to the rules of indoor volleyball, the court must be of 59′ x 29′.6″. The height of net must be7’11.5/8”, for 14 years and under14 player, 7’4.1/8″. The net must be wide of 36- 39 and it should be long 31 feet-6 inches-33 feet.
